New Threads

Also this week, the new serger thread showed up. The serger construction is similar to the other method, in that you rip off 10" and 26-1/2" sections of fabric and sew the together in a similar order, but without the roll-up or second pass on each seam. Instead, you fold the 10" section wrong sides together on the long  edge.

Then match the ripped edge one edge on the right side of the other fabric and serge.

Yeah, that's the wrong side showing now.
Then fold right sides together and serge the long edge and the other end closed.

And I got some other fabrics, in case not everyone is into wizards n' lizards.

This is a lot faster, but if they could push Mother's Day out another week, it would really help. Thank you.
